Texas State Vocational Schools

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) is the only state-sponsored system of vocational education institutions in Texas. The 59th Texas Legislature established TSTC in 1965 as a way to address the state's growing need for career education in the business and technology sector. The first campus, then known as James Connally Technical Institute, was a segment of Texas A&M University and opened on the shuttered James Connally Air Force Base.
