What year were SChools in SC intergrated?

South Carolina schools were not integrated on a single date. The process was gradual and met with significant resistance. While the landmark *Brown v. Board of Education* Supreme Court case declared state-sponsored segregation in public schools unconstitutional in 1954, actual integration in South Carolina happened much later and piecemeal, often through court orders and with considerable delay and resistance. There's no single year that accurately represents complete integration across the state. Some schools integrated earlier than others, and complete desegregation wasn't achieved for many years after 1954.
