Eastland-Fairfield serves high school students and adults in 16 districts, including all of Franklin, Fairfield and Pickaway counties. The school has campuses in both Groveport and Carroll. The Carroll campus is located 5 miles northwest of Lancaster. The school features the Adult Workforce Development program, which is a division of the state department of education's Career-Technical and Adult Education system. The adult program is also accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
The school offers both part-time and full-time courses of study. Subject areas include medical office technologies, dental assisting, licensed massage therapy, electrician training, plumbing, welding, police officer training and paramedic training. Students receive certificates for completing classes at the school, and many of the programs are designed to prepare students for national and state certification exams that are necessary to work in the given field.

Created 50 years ago as an extension of Ohio University, the Lancaster campus serves more than 2,100 students annually and provides a range of educational programs, including technical courses. The school offers associate and bachelor's degree programs. Most technical education, though, is offered through the school's Tech Prep program. The four-year programs begin when students are still in high school. Students complete the program with an associate degree. Program areas include engineering, industrial maintenance, computer science and information technologies. Other associate degree programs are in areas such as accounting, electronic media, child development, law enforcement and medical assisting.

Central Ohio Tech offers students a technical education leading to a certificate or associate degree in more than two dozen areas. The college has four campuses. The Newark campus is 20 miles northeast of Lancaster. The college features four academic divisions: Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Industrial and Business Technologies, Health and Human Services and Public Safety. Degrees are available in fields such as accounting, computer programming, criminal justice, drafting, early childhood development, law enforcement and nursing.
