Technical Schools in Wyoming Offering EMT Classes

Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) discover myriad training courses in the state of Wyoming. The Wyoming Department of Health hosts recertification exams and arranges introductory courses through regional medical centers. EMTs can advance their careers by completing classes at Wyoming technical schools and community colleges. The state of Wyoming is home to a small group of technical schools that issue EMT certificates and two-year degrees to emergency medical personnel.
  1. Central Wyoming College

    • Central Wyoming College operates two EMT programs through its Wilderness First Responder Program. The four-credit Wilderness First Responder Credential requires courses in burn management and splinting. This credential results in student certification with the Wilderness Medicine Institute. The nine-credit Wilderness EMT Credential requires four weeks of classes and simulated rescues. The Wilderness EMT Credential doubles as a certification as a Basic EMT through the state of Wyoming. The Lowell A. Morfeld Student Center at Central Wyoming College contains cardio and weight machines to keep future EMTs in shape.
