To apply to the licensed practical nursing program at Camden Community College, applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED with minimum 2.0 GPA and a grade of "Proficient" on the TEAS entrance exam. If admitted, students will need to have a physical exam, pass a drug test, submit to a criminal background check and obtain BLS CPR certification. The school requires applications in May for matriculation in the fall of the same year.

Applicants are ranked based on prerequisite GPA and entrance exam scores. If admitted, students begin the program in October and can only attend full-time to complete the program in 12 months.

The practical nurse program at Warren County Technical Schools admits students once a year in the fall to its one-year program. Classes take place in the evening, allowing students to continue to work if desired. Admission requirements include a high school diploma or GED, physical exam and drug test, criminal background check, proof of immunization, completion of a Basic Skills Test and CPR certification.
