Johnston Community College

• Cape Fear Community College offers an associate's degree program in medical sonography. This five-semester program prepares students to work as sonographers in health care facilities through coursework and clinical experience. Students may apply for fall term admissions only, and must meet all school stated requirements. Requirements include successful scores on a college admissions test (i.e., ASSET, Compass, Accuplacer, SAT, or ACT), a 2.5 grade point average or higher in any other college level classes taken prior to application, and a high school diploma. Additionally, students must pass high school or college level classes in Algebra, Biology, and Physics.

• Located in Winterville, North Carolina, Pitt Community College offers an associate's degree program in Medical Sonography.
