Schools for Sonography in North Carolina

Sonography, also known as ultrasound, is the use of high-frequency sound waves to create internal images of the human body for such purposes as the diagnosis of illness or monitoring of pregnancies. The majority of training programs for sonographers are two-year associate degree programs offered at community colleges, vocational schools or universities. Students in North Carolina can find several such programs at schools in various parts of the state.
