Take time to eat a healthy breakfast. Eating breakfast will help you to keep your energy level up and keep your mind focused and alert.
Read all assigned readings prior to class and once you get to class, pay attention. Be an active participant in study groups and class events.
Take good notes, using pictures or symbols if necessary. Find a quiet location immediately after class and spend a few minutes reviewing your notes while the information is still fresh in your mind.
Set a regular study schedule, and find a quiet, distraction-free place to study. Turn off the television and anything else that will distract you. Ask your family not to disturb you while you are studying and you will be well on your way to earning straight A's.
Take regular study breaks. Make the breaks just long enough to get a snack or take a very short walk, but not long enough that you will lose focus.
Do all assigned homework. Not only is this an important part of your grade, but you'll be better prepared for tests and quizzes. Doing homework will also decrease the time you need to study for tests.
Exercise often, especially before you sit down to study. Research shows that students retain more information after being physically active.
