How to Reference Books in a Paper

When writing a paper for school, work or other sources, it is important to reference any materials used to aid the writing process. Whether it is specific quotes or just basic knowledge learned from a book, it must be referenced in order to properly give credit to the writer. Depending upon the subject matter of a piece of writing, the way to reference material used will differ.
