Harvard University

• Harvard's Business School, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, offers a doctoral program in Organizational Behavior. This Ph.D. program provides training in the theory of psychology and sociology along with the study of business administration. Students are exposed to research on organizational behavior and have access to faculty from both the business school and the college of arts and sciences.

  Two concentrations of study are available: micro- (pyschological and interpersonal) or macro- (sociological and organizational) level behaviors. Students complete the program with a dissertation which is reviewed by a panel of faculty members.

Western New England College

• Located in Springfield, Massachusetts, Western New England College (WNEC) is home to a Ph.D. program in behavior analysis. Students in this program focus on the education and treatment of individuals with autism or other related disabilities using evidence-based methods. This program combines practical and research experience that is coordinated through the psychology department allowing students to investigate the diagnosis and treatment possibilities for human behavior issues. WNEC partners with the New England Center for Children, a school for children with autism, to provide students with opportunities for directly working with children and conducting research and analysis. Graduates of this program can go on to a career in research or academic careers or direct behavior analysis positions with a school or medical facility.

Simmons College

• The Ph.D. program for applied behavior analysis offered at Simmons College in Boston is primarily a research-oriented program. The program involves courses such as applied statistical analysis, quantitative research, and a dissertation seminar. Students are expected to pursue publication in scholarly journals and literature. Classes in organizational behavior or behavioral research in education allow students to take a focused approach in one area. The program requires the completion of 60 credit hours, which can be completed on a full- or part-time schedule beginning in the fall, spring or summer semester. Applicants to this program must be a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst.

• Located in Caldwell, New Jersey, Caldwell College offers a doctoral program in applied behavior analysis. A wide variety of available courses in this program allow students to concentrate their studies on research or clinical studies. In addition to their coursework, students in this program must complete a practicum and a dissertation. The curriculum also includes preparation for supervision and training of others in behavior analysis careers. Graduates of this program are prepared for careers in developmental services, mental health, academia and special education.
