Harvard's Business School, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, offers a doctoral program in Organizational Behavior. This Ph.D. program provides training in the theory of psychology and sociology along with the study of business administration. Located in Springfield, Massachusetts, Western New England College (WNEC) is home to a Ph.D. program in behavior analysis. Students in this program focus on the education and treatment of individuals with autism or other related disabilities using evidence-based methods. This program combines practical and research experience that is coordinated through the psychology department allowing students to investigate the diagnosis and treatment possibilities for human behavior issues. WNEC partners with the New England Center for Children, a school for children with autism, to provide students with opportunities for directly working with children and conducting research and analysis. Graduates of this program can go on to a career in research or academic careers or direct behavior analysis positions with a school or medical facility.

The Ph.D. program for applied behavior analysis offered at Simmons College in Boston is primarily a research-oriented program. The program involves courses such as applied statistical analysis, quantitative research, and a dissertation seminar. Students are expected to pursue publication in scholarly journals and literature. Classes in organizational behavior or behavioral research in education allow students to take a focused approach in one area. The program requires the completion of 60 credit hours, which can be completed on a full- or part-time schedule beginning in the fall, spring or summer semester.
