Vocal Pedagogy Doctorate Degrees

Students who seek an education in vocal pedagogy usually fall into two categories: singers who are looking to understand the field of singing more deeply as well as how the voice is affected by physiology; and singers who are looking to take on a teaching role as choral directors, vocal coaches or professors. Students interested in the field may pursue degrees all the way up through the doctorate, or PhD, level at a variety of universities across the country. Earning a place at a vocal pedagogy doctorate program requires a long history of experience and study of the field.
