ICFAI offers a series of programs within the Human Resources department that are part of a greater, invaluable experience to produce the strongest graduates possible. According to Damien Aubrey, part of ICFAI's faculty, this includes attractive fellowships that offer about US $1,500 per month (Rs.25,000/- per month during the first year; Rs.27,000/- per month in subsequent years). They offer an annual professional development grant for their higher achieves and a visiting scholar program in United States and Australian business schools.
Within their program there will be exposure to Ph.D. level courses and intensive workshops by well-known faculty from top business schools in India and abroad. The program is set up to help students understand the impact of human resource management in a global context and perform within an internal arena as professionals. This program is ideal for those who wish to find work in the human resource management field and where there is a significant aspect of their practice.
Human Resources, printed by The ICFAI University Press, states that ICFAI asks that its students obtain a first class post-graduate degree in Management, Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Arts, or Science with at least 60 percent and above. Those with a CFA, CA, CWA, and CS are also eligible to apply for the program. The university prefers candidates between the ages of 23 and 30 years of age who can perform in regards to the intensive course structure. This cross-cultural approach helps the program address transnationalism and progress in the management of the Human Resources program. ICFAI holds its Research Aptitude test in late October at any of its 92 test centers found all over India.
Damien Aubrey also states that the Human Resources Ph.D. course at ICFAI University is based on current theories and practices of human resource management across the globe. The course is meant to prepare students for wider research in this field and, through the dissertation, students are able to pursue particular interests with support from a supervisor. Core modules at ICFAI include comparative employment systems, cross-cultural management, and international business strategy. There is also a strong emphasis on international personnel and development and research methods used by top international businesses. Study methods found at ICFAI include lectures, seminars available to meet all students needs, case study analysis, teamwork, supervision and web-based study materials.
