Christian Missionary Scholarship Foundation offers awards to 200 students each year. Your parent must be a Christian missionary that pursues work overseas. The scholarship program requires that the missionaries are either on a missions trip to a foreign country or have recently returned from one. The scholarships can be used at Calvin College, Hope College and Kuyper College in Michigan; Dordt College in Iowa; and Trinity Christian College and Wheaton College in Illinois. Applicants must demonstrate financial need directly related to a parent’s missionary work.
Scholarship amounts vary and can be renewed for all four years of college and medical graduate studies. The foundation requires recipients to earn one-half of the money needed for room and board, maintain a Christian lifestyle and make acceptable progress toward a college degree. Some colleges hold special banquets for CMSF award recipients.
