Register for government grants on the Student Finance page of Directgov. Provide as much information as you can so you get all of the government funding you qualify for. If you're an EU student with a family income under £25,000, you may be eligible for a grant of £2,906 a year.
Contact your Local Education Authority (LEA) and ask if you qualify for any grants. You can find contact details for your LEA on the Department for Children, Schools and Families site.
Check with your parents' employers--or if you work, your own employer--as to whether they offer tuition assistance grants. Many larger employers have scholarship programs for the children of their employees.
Use the scholarship search feature on the Hot Courses site to find scholarships and grants that you can apply for.
Contact grant-making bodies directly and ask how you can apply for a grant. You can usually find a list of these on your university's financial office page. Some grants are merit-based. For others, you'll have to demonstrate financial need.
