Contact your provincial or territorial government for an application or go to their website to find it online. Alternatively, you can go to the their student financial assistance office or your high school.
Complete the application and submit it online or mail it to the province or territory where you currently reside. Wait to receive a letter of assessment in the mail.
Read over the assessment letter to see if you have qualified for a grant. You will be sent a Certificate of Eligibility, if you qualify, that will indicate how much you will receive for the grant.
Review the Certificate of Eligibility, you should have received in the mail, and then contact the college or university you plan to attend to confirm your enrollment.
Determine if you are eligible for an apprenticeship grant. Review the eligibility criteria to make sure that you are eligible to apply.

Choose the province or territory where you have registered as an apprentice and make a note of the Issuing Apprenticeship Authority.
Contact the Issuing Apprenticeship Authority for a copy of the supporting documents that are needed to apply for the grant. These will include a proof of registration and a letter that shows progression in your apprenticeship program.
Complete the online application or send in a paper application that you can download and print out on your computer.
