Women's policy is a broad area of study that encompasses almost every aspect of women's rights and well-being. In exchange for research tasks and assistant work, recipients of the Mariam K. Chamberlain Fellowship in Women & Public Policy will learn about such policy issues as women's economic status, child care access and civic activism with support from the Institute for Women's Policy Research. The Women's Research & Education Institution (WREI) grooms academics to be policy leaders and legislators by offering women training in addition to a stipend and the cost of health insurance and some tuition.
