Grants for Nurse Practitioner Students

Nurse practitioners are registered nurses who have completed an advanced degree, generally a master’s or doctoral degree. Several grants are available to help nurse practitioner students pay for college tuition. Some of these grants are awarded on the national level; others are for students who will work or attend college in a certain area.
  1. Illinois Farm Bureau

    • The goal of the Illinois Farm Bureau Rural Nurse Practitioner Scholarship Program is to encourage nurse practitioners to work in rural areas of Illinois. Generally, four scholarships worth $4,000 each are given to nurse practitioner students at an accredited college or university. After graduation, students must agree to work in a rural community in Illinois for at least two years. Besides the standard application, students must write an essay explaining why they would like to practice in a rural community.
