Each year, the USTA awards two tennis players the Okechi Womeodu Scholar Athlete Grant. These players are youths from 14 to 18 years of age who achieved national ranking within the top 100 of a specific age range. The student must maintain a GPA of 3.0. The application for funding requires two letters of recommendation as well as a training and tournament appearance schedule proposal. Because these grants are community-based, it is best to contact your local USTA to determine if grants are available for your location.
