Georgetown University requires that students complete 12 prerequisite courses prior to entry into their accelerated BSN program. Students must complete one and two of anatomy and physiology, chemistry, microbiology and statistics. Students must also complete seven additional courses from choices that include English, theology, philosophy, ethics, human nutrition, human growth and development, health care delivery systems, abnormal psychology and research methods.

The Medical University of South Carolina offers an accelerated BSN program with the requirement that students complete 60 semester hours of prerequisites. This requirement includes six semester hours in English composition/literature, three semester hours in lifespan human growth and development, four semester hours each of human anatomy, microbiology and human physiology, three semester hours of statistics, four semester hours of a science elective, 15 semester hours of humanities and social science electives and 17 semester hours of general electives.

The University of Pittsburgh offers students an accelerated BSN program with a requirement for students to have completed 36 prerequisite credits. Queens University of Charlotte has an accelerated BSN program and requires that students complete a number of prerequisites prior to beginning the program. These prerequisites include eight courses which consist of anatomy and physiology one and two with lab, microbiology or bacteriology with lab, general/introductory psychology, development/life span/growth and development psychology, nutrition, statistics, and principles of sociology or cultural anthropology. Students must have either taken high school chemistry or its equivalent and must have taken a certified nursing assistant course prior to enrollment.
