Founded in 1852, the American Pharmacists Association is one of the oldest pharmaceutical organizations in the world. The association provides funding to advance research in public health and disease prevention by awarding grants to pharmacists and student pharmacists. The APHA Incentive Grants Program is provided for existing pharmacists who wish to establish patient care services within their practice. The APHA Pinnacle Awards is given to individuals who have made contributions to the field by delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care. The award is open to practitioners working in group practice, and in the health care system. The Student Scholarship Program is offered to full-time students who are also actively involved in their school’s APHA chapter, and have made significant contributions to help shape the field of pharmacology.
