Enter in the first number of a basic operation with the number pad. Next, press the button corresponding to the type of operation you are performing, for instance the "+" sign for addition. Enter in the second number after the sign and then press the "Equals" button to complete the equation. You can string together several operations before hitting "Equals." The equation you entered will appear on the screen to help you double check what you have entered.
Press the "Del" button at any time to delete the button you just pressed from the equation. Pressing the "Left" and "Right" buttons will move the cursor in the equation, letting you edit a specific part. If you want to save a result in the memory of the calculator, press the "Sto" button followed by the "M+" button after the "Equals" button to save the answer. Pressing the "M+" button again will bring up the answer.
Press the "Bracket" buttons to add brackets before and after a number or a set of numbers in an equation. Adding brackets will make the calculator perform the task inside of the brackets before continuing with the rest of the operation.
Press the "Square" key after a number to square it. Press the "Powers" key after a number followed by the number of power you would like to use. For example, typing "3 Powers 3" will produce three to the third power. Pressing the "Square root" button before a number will produce the square root. Pressing the "Fractions" between two numbers will create a fraction from those numbers.
