Medical sonography has become increasingly in demand with the advancement of technology. A medical sonographer can be responsible for anything from evaluating the brain and spine, using ultrasound to examine the womb, and even evaluating breast abnormalities and blood flow in the heart and blood vessels. Because of its near-universal application in the modern medical field, many schools now offer degrees in medical sonography.
