How to List a Book Author in a Bibliography

A bibliography is a list of the books, articles and other sources such as websites used when researching material for an article, essay or book. The purpose is to identify for the reader the sources of your information. It validates the work you have done and gives the reader the ability to check the facts and your conclusions, and to evaluate the quality of your work. APA style is a set of rules developed by the American Psychological Association for writers of scientific articles and books. MLA Style is a set of guidelines published by the Modern Language Association of America.
