    • This degree, offered by the Christian Leadership University (CLU) can be taken as a certificate program or applied toward an associate's, bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree. A student must complete 10 courses to receive certification. Students who are working towards a master's or doctorate degree earn approximately 30 credits for each degree from specific courses. They get the remaining 10 credits by doing practical ministry work. CLU is a distance-learning school and offers a 20-percent discount on prepaid tuition as of February 2011.

    Bachelor of Science in Christian Leadership

    • This degree is designed for individuals who want to take an active role in the ministry as leaders. This degree is offered by Azusa Pacific University (APU), which is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and Association of Theological Schools (ATS) for their Christian Leadership Program. APU was ranked in the third tier of the national category of the U.S. News and World Report's America's Best Colleges for the second year in a row in 2009.

    Master of Arts in Leadership Degree

    • This master's degree program is offered by Vision International Education Network, and can be taken online or through correspondence. It is designed to prepare leaders in churches and non-profit organizations. This degree consists of 36 credit hours, with each course equivalent to three credit hours, taking a student approximately 18-24 months to complete the entire program. Graduates should be able to apply Christian leadership concepts in solving organizational problems and enhance an organization by determining what requires improvement.

    Doctor of Education in Christian Education Leadership Cognate

    • This doctorate degree is offered by the Regent University School of Education, and is primarily available online with a one-week summer residency at their Virginia Beach campus. This course provides higher levels of thinking and solving problems, and requires a lot of scholarly research and writing. The course has 60 credit hours and may be completed in three years. Graduates of this course will be able to identify national and global educational issues and respond in a Christ-like manner.
