For students who are seeking a college degree as well as aviation training, Aerosim offers an associate's or bachelor's degree in aviation through their programs at Jacksonville University, Broward College and San Jacinto College. Students are required to meet the minimum hourly requirements set forth by the FAA in order to receive their pilot's license through the Aerosim program.
At the Aero Squad Flight School in Compton, California, students can earn training as a private pilot, instrument pilot, commercial pilot, flight instructor and even ground instructor. Each program offered by Aero Squad meets the minimum hour requirements created by the FAA for pilot training, and students will not only graduate with their license, but also receive an associate's in aviation through the school's partner program at Orange Coast College. Students will receive hands-on and simulator training and must pass a written and practical exam to receive their licenses.
Students in the middle of the country can train at the Spartan College of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Here individuals can take training in quality control, avionics technology, aviation maintenance and professional pilot training. Students that enter into the pilot program will receive a bachelor's of science in aviation management as well as a private, commercial or instructor license. Most students who enter the bachelor's program can complete it within 17 months. Each student who enters the Spartan College of Aeronautics is required to meet the minimum FAA-hourly requirement for their desired flight license prior to graduation. Students will receive hands-on training, simulator training and preparation through extensive coursework to take their licensing and physical exams.
At the University of North Dakota, students can enter into the aerospace program in the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences. Students will train on more than 550 acres of flight space in both hands-on flight training as well as state-of-the-art simulator training to provide the experiences necessary to pass both the written and physical exams for pilot licensing. Students can obtain a bachelor's in aeronautics upon graduation at their main campus in Grand Forks, North Dakota or at their partner schools in Phoenix, Arizona, Spokane, Washington and Crookston, Minnesota.
