Click "Start," then "Microsoft Office," and finally, "Microsoft PowerPoint." A blank presentation first page will appear. Choose your design by either clicking "Design" in the ribbon or "Background Styles" and choosing the color and design. You can also change the fonts by clicking "Fonts."
Type a header. Once you are happy with it and the design, you can create duplicate basic slides by by right-clicking on the slide in the left-side bar and then selecting "Duplicate Slide," producing as many as you need.
Add your text on each page. Once the text is in place, you can animate it. Click "Animations"in the ribbon, on the right, "Add Effect," will appear. Click the text and then "Add Effect" and choose from the selection offered.
Add transitions, which determine how each slide moves on to the next one. These can be set by choosing from the selection offered in the ribbon beneath the "Animations" tab. Once you have chosen, click "Apply to All," which is to the right of the choices. This will mean all slides will make their transition in the same style.
Insert images by clicking "Insert" in the ribbon and choosing "Picture." This will take you to your folders, where you can choose which image you wish to add. Once on the slide. it can be stretched from the corner.
Add a link to the Internet by right-clicking a word or image in the slide and choosing "Hyperlink." This will allow you to choose either a link to another slide or an Internet page. Choose from the drop-down menu.
Include sounds by clicking "Insert" and then the sound icon in the ribbon. Choose where you would like to get sounds, such as from a file. Choose whether you want to play it automatically or with a click as you go through the slide show. You can view the slide show by clicking the "Slide Show" tab and "From Beginning" in the ribbon.
