How to Cite Information From eHow

There are several different formats for citing websites in papers and writings, depending on the style that you follow; common style guides include MLA, AP and APA. Here we will take a look at how to cite an eHow article using the MLA, or Modern Language Association style, which is primarily used in liberal arts and humanities research papers.

Instructions

    • 1

Locate the author of the eHow article and place their name at the beginning of the citation, last name first, separated by a comma and ending with a period. For example, Jane Smith would be Smith, Jane.

    • 2

List the title of the article next, placed in parenthesis, capitalized and ending with a period, such as, "Title of Article".

    • 3

Place the name of the home website next, in italics, ending with a period, as in, eHow.

    • 4

Find the date that the article was originally published on eHow and list that next, followed by a period, such as, February 24, 2010.

    • 5

Write the date that you found and used the eHow article, followed by a period, as in June 10, 2011.

    • 6

Paste the eHow URL at the end of the citation.
