How to Cite Information From a Website

Citations are references to published books or papers the you have used to produce your paper. They provide the reader with the source from which the information is drawn. Citations give credit to authors for their original work and point the reader towards a credible source for more information.

  1. Citing a Website in MLA Format

      Enter the author of the website, writing the last name, followed by a comma and the first name.

      Write the website's title in italics followed by a period. Place this information immediately following the author's name.`

    Citing a Website in APA Format
