Examine the article on the web page to find the author's name. Look for "Author:", followed by the person's name. Generally, you can find an author's name at the top or bottom of the page (before or after the article).
Check for a publication date or copyright date --- often at the end of the article. Use whatever date you find --- year alone or month and year --- and place this information in parenthesis.
Include the title of the article or web page and the name of the website in italicized letters.
Note the URL that goes directly to the article.
Construct the citation as follows:
Author's last name and first name, publication or copyright date (write n.d. for "no date" if applicable), article or web page title/website name and URL.
Find the author's name on the web page, at either the top or bottom of the page.
Gather the other pertinent information from the website, including the title of the web page and website, the editor, the date of the document, the number of the document, the name of the sponsoring institution, the date you accessed the webpage and the URL. Not every item will always be available or applicable.
Construct the citation as follows:
Author's last name and first name, title of web page (in quotation marks) and website (underlined), editor's name, document date, document number, name of sponsoring institution, access date and URL.
