Master's Degree Programs for Human Development & Family Studies

Students of human development and family studies examine how people mature throughout their lives and form relationships, particularly within and among families. Students study human growth and development, family systems and strategies for promoting growth. With a master’s degree in human development and family studies, you can gain advanced employment in a wide variety of occupations serving children, adults and families, and you can work at colleges and universities, private consulting, educational laboratories, medical centers, learning centers and government divisions. The programs do not train students in therapy, counseling or diagnosis of clinical disorders.
