Clayton College of Natural Health offers a Family Herbalist certificate, a Consulting Herbalist certificate and a Master Herbalist certificate program. Students enrolled in the Family Herbalist certificate program study home remedies, basic nutrition, basic herbology, growing and gathering herbs, therapeutic nutrition, aging, aromatherapy, women's health and children's health. Students enrolled in the Consulting Herbalist certificate program study the history of western herbalism, pharmacognosy and plant chemistry, therapeutic herbology, biology, flower essences and toxicology and herbal pharmacology. Students enrolled in the Master's Herbalist certificate program study topics include herbalism and phytotherapy, Ayurvedic herbal medicine, Chinese herbal medicine, Native American ethnobotany, plant identification and ethics.
Clayton College of Natural Health also offers a Bachelor of Science in Natural Health, a Bachelor of Science in Holistic Nutrition, Master of Science in Natural Health, a Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition and a Doctor of Education in Holistic Health and Wellness. Tuition rates in 2010 were $127 per credit-hour for undergraduates, $197 per credit hour for master's-level courses and $247 per credit-hour for doctorate-level courses. Tuition does not cover the cost of textbooks, study guides or shipping and handling. Financial aid to qualifying students includes scholarships, grants, loans, and payment plan options with zero-percent financing. Tuition discounts are offered to veterans, reservists and active military personnel, alumni of Clayton College and members of the American Holistic Nurses Association.

Everglades University is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and offers an online Bachelor of Science degree program in Alternative Medicine. The Alternative Medicine program focuses on herbology, botany, nutrition, traditional Chinese medicine, homeopathy, and antioxidants. American College of Healthcare Sciences was accredited in 2003 by the Accrediting Commission, Distance Education and Training Council. The American College of Healthcare Sciences offers online certificate programs in Herbal Medicine, Botanical Safety, Herbal Retail Management, Advanced Herbal Materia Medica, and in Botanical Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry. It also offers a diploma program in Herbal Studies Master Herbalist and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Complementary Alternative Medicine, Herbal Medicine Major. Courses which may be applied towards a Master's degree in Complementary Alternative Medicine are also offered by American College of Healthcare Sciences.
