The College of Health Sciences at Boise State University offers undergraduate and graduate nursing education. The school has accreditation from the National League of Nursing and Accreditation Commission, or NLNAC, to award Bachelor of Science degrees in Nursing. The Master of Science in Nursing and Master of Nursing programs received candidacy status from the NLNAC and began an evaluation for accreditation in the fall of 2010. The school has the largest nursing program in Idaho and has been training nurses for more than 55 years. Aside from the bachelor and master programs, the school also offers licensed practical nurses, or LPNs, a chance to earn a bachelor's degree to build upon their certificate training, in addition to online nursing education.
Carrington College's Boise campus offers several different health care programs, including a Registered Nursing program. The program awards graduates with a certificate in Practical Nursing. Additionally, the school features a Nursing Bridge program that helps current licensed practical nurses earn an associate of science degree and go on to take the National Council Licensing Exam, or NCLEX-RN, in order to become registered nurses. The school is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.
The Professional Nursing program at the College of Western Idaho prepares students for a career as a Registered Nurse. The program awards an Associate of Science in Nursing degree to those that complete the requirements. These students then go on to take the NCLEX-RN in order to become a Registered Nurse. The program at the College of Western Idaho requires 70 credit hours, which includes the prerequisite courses needed to enroll. The school is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
The College of Southern Idaho awards nursing students who complete the requirements with an Associate of Science degree in Nursing. The program has been approved by the Idaho Board of Nursing and receives accreditation from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Once through with the program, graduates can then take the NCLEX-RN, which gives them the ability to practice as a Registered Nurse if they pass. Students wishing to enter the program must first enroll in the College of Southern Idaho, then sign up for the RN Track and complete an application to the RN program.

For students who have a bachelor's degree in another subject, the school offers an accelerated program that can be completed in four semesters. Graduate studies for Nursing occur in an online curriculum.
Lewis-Clark State College's Division of Nursing and Health Sciences offers several different options to earn a degree in Nursing. The school awards both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an Associate of Applied Science for Practical Nursing. With the bachelor's program, students in the basic track complete the degree in a four-year setting. The LPN-to-BSN track takes people who are currently Licensed Practical Nurses and helps them to earn a bachelor of science degree. The school also helps current registered nurses earn their bachelor's degree.
The Department of Nursing at Northwest Nazarene University helps students earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The school received accreditation from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, while the Nursing program has an individual accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Students have the opportunity to learn abroad during international mission trips around the world, such as to Peru and the Ukraine. The school also offers nursing students the chance to congregate with a Student Nursing Association.
