Medical Student Grants

Medical student grants are primarily geared toward research projects for advanced medical students. Several medical organizations sponsor grants to encourage students to enter particular medical fields or to conduct research on medical conditions, such as heart disease or new medical techniques. Awards provide money for expenses connected to the project, including laboratory usages, or helps pay for personal expenses. To qualify for several of these grants, you must complete your project in a certain amount of time.

The project must be approved by your medical school. Eligible candidates must be members of RSNA and full-time students at accredited medical schools in North America. You have to conduct your research in your university's radiology, radiation oncology or nuclear medicine departments. Applicants can't have other grants in the same years totaling more than $60,000. The reward includes a minimum $3,000 stipend. The application is available on the RSNA website.
