Australian Dental Association (ADAQ)

• The dental assistant training offered through the Australian Dental Association at Queensland, is open exclusively to staff who are employed by ADAQ members, employees of "Queensland health oral service," and employees of "university of Queensland dental school." The association will also consider a written application from non-eligible groups or individuals. Approximately 90 percent of dentists and dental specialists throughout Australia are members of ADAQ. The certificate program in dental assisting at ADAQ runs for one year, enrollments are accepted in July and February; students are required to take CPR and first-aid training.

• South Perth is located in Western Australia, and is a suburban district. Dental Nursing Australia is well known, and one of the largest dental training schools in Australia. The school awards Certificate III and IV diplomas in dental assisting. Certificate III provides a basic training in dental assisting, whereas Certificate IV is an advanced training program.
