The 128 credit curriculum includes 44 liberal arts classes. The university boasts that over 90 percent of its students pass the license exam for nurses. The Decker School of Nursing at Binghamton University was established in 1969 and offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees in nursing. The school boasts that students who graduate from the university will be able use research from behavioral, physical and nursing science to aid them in the practice of nursing. Students are required to perform in off-site clinical care facilities and community facilities as part of the curriculum.
The school is affiliated with more than 400 medical facilities including Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, and the Greater Binghamton Health Center and the Susquehanna Nursing Center which are both in Binghamton. The university does have an accelerated bachelor's degree program which can be completed in 12 months, however students must maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Just minutes from the beautiful Niagara Falls, Niagara University offers a strong nursing program at its College of Nursing. This program is for students who are are already nurses through an associates degree in Nursing or have a hospital school. The nursing courses revolve around areas such as ethical decision making, evidence-based practices and critical thinking among others.
The university offers a 50 percent reduction in tuition for students in this program and accepts tuition from employers. The school also offers many financial aid options such as grants, scholarships and work study. The program spans 120 credits, however the university will accept up to 30 credits from a previous school or studies.
