Pace University in Pleasantville offers a criminal justice program through its Dyson College of Arts and Sciences. Students can choose from undergraduate and master's degree programs in criminal justice and forensic psychology. Undergraduate students gain practical experience in the field of criminal justice by participating in two mandatory internships. Criminal justice classes at Pace University are taught in conjunction with the Westchester County Police Department.
The Department of Criminal Justice at Long Island University is located at the C.W. Post campus in Brookville. It offers a bachelor's degree program, master's program and five-year combined degree program in criminal justice. The LIU criminal justice program was one of the first to develop a comprehensive internship program, placing students in a variety of professional environments, including crime labs, prosecutor's offices and police forces.
