    • Since 1988, the National Law School of India University has been offering courses in teaching Indian law in undergraduate, post-graduate and research programs. The school was set up after many decades with the co-operation of the Karnataka Government, the Bangalore University and the initiatives of senior members of the Bar Council of India. A large number of active and retired judges work with professors and students at the university as well, giving students real world experience as to what the court system in India will be like when they graduate. Graduates either go into the court systems and practice law for small firms or on their own, or become legal consultants, sometimes working for international companies within India.

This is provided on top of the regular law courses.     • The National Law Institute University teaches students laws of India and international law in other countries, primarily focusing on corporations and the climate within large law firms, so that graduating students can be ready for the ever-changing legal world around them. Five-year bachelor of the arts programs are taught, providing the most modern legal education through multidisciplinary teaching and training of newer skills needed for the profession.
