East Carolina University offers a Master of Science degree in Speech, Language, and Auditory Pathology. This is a three-year, 54 credit-hour program that can be obtained on campus or on line, which is beneficial to students who cannot physically attend an accredited master's program in speech pathology. The online graduate program carries the same requirements as the traditional on-site program, 42 credits in academic coursework, with a minimum of 12 credits of clinical work. In addition to standard courses in such areas as phonetics, anatomy, physiology, and language disorders, students must obtain a minimum of 25 observation hours and 375 supervised clinical hours in the diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders.

The University of Northern Colorado offers an accredited master's program in Speech Language Pathology. This program offers a broad range of courses covering the nature, assessment, and treatment of language and literacy, articulation, voice, and developmental disorders, among others. Students who complete the program are eligible to apply for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology. The University of Northern Colorado offers this master's program both on site, a standard six-semester course of study, or in a distance-learning setting, which requires nine semesters; both have specific internship requirements for successful graduation.

Oklahoma State University offers an accredited master's degree program in Communication Sciences and Disorders. The 52 to 56 credit hour, two-year program emphasizes the combination of evidence-based academic and clinical knowledge to provide an in-depth curriculum featuring speech, language, and hearing disorders. Students also must complete 400 hours of clinical practicum experience. Graduates have a variety of options including private practice, school settings, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, or going on to pursue a doctoral program. Courses include phonological disorders, language disorders in children, dysphagia, and motor speech disorders.
