To enter Morris Brown College, you must have either a high school diploma or a GED. If you are applying during your senior year of high school, you must successfully complete the high school graduation requirements before entering Morris Brown.
Morris Brown requires you to take one of the college admissions standardized tests--the SAT or the ACT. The school uses these tests to make a decision about whether or not to admit you and to determine financial aid eligibility.
A Carnegie unit refers to the completion of a full year of a high school course. You must have completed at least 13 core competency classes in your high schools--English, Math, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences.
You must write a personal essay to demonstrate your writing ability. You can find the essay topics in your application packet. The essay must be more than 300 words. Use this to demonstrate to the school why you make a good candidate.
You must submit two letters of recommendation from other teachers. Your recommendation letters should be from academic leaders, rather than from others in the community.
You must submit a copy of your birth certificate and Social Security card in order to prove your identity to the school.
