Access to nursing is for those individuals that aspire to be a nurse and do not have all the qualifications to be accepted to a nursing program. Nursing programs typically require two A levels or five GCSEs. the Access to nursing contains 10 modules that include core skills, human biology, psychology, sociology, vocational study, introduction to research and foundations of health.
The Access to Science course is specifically for those interested in science related careers, such as environmental science, occupational therapy, food science or laboratory science. The science module include laboratory skills, biology, math, chemistry and physics topics.
Access language courses are available for those individuals who want to enter a university where the main language is not the students first language. There are Access Spanish courses for those interested in studying at a Spanish university and Access French courses for those wanting to study in France and so on. The final exam is equivalent to A-levels and other university entrance exams.
The Access to business course is specifically for those interested in studying business at university level. The subject material covered in the Access course includes accounting, environment studies, communications, law business studies, study skills, mathematics, improving performance and keyboarding. The student will give presentations, research case studies, do projects and work under time constraints.
