LPN to RN Programs in Georgia

Many licensed practical nurses make the transition to a career as a registered nurse through an LPN to RN program, also called an RN bridge program. These tracks of study typically lead to an associate degree in nursing and can be completed in about a year. Upon completion of an LPN to RN program, students must still take the National Council Licensure Exam, known as the NCLEX, to obtain RN status. Several community colleges in Georgia offer an RN bridge program.
