Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro offers a diploma and associates degree in their Forensic Science Program. Graduates of either program have the same career opportunities, however, the degree program allows for the student to focus their education in one of three degree emphasis areas. Course curriculum in the Forensic Science Program is divided between skills training and a traditional education, and the three degree emphasis areas in the program are crime scene investigation, law enforcement, and wildlife law enforcement.
Upon completion of either the degree or diploma program, graduates will be trained to find careers in local and state law enforcement agencies, law firms and correctional facilities.

The Criminal Justice and Forensics department at Albany State University offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science. The program is accredited by the American Academy of Forensic Science's Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission. During the course of their study, students in the program will work closely with the Albany Police Department and Doctor's Lab Valdosta.
Upon completion of the degree program, students will have the skills and training to find an entry level or middle level career in criminal justice and forensic science or pursue a graduate degree in criminal justice.
