Child Life Specialist Degree Programs

Child life specialists are professionals trained to provide counseling and support for children grappling with grief, trauma or the stress of an injury or illness. A number of colleges and universities in the United States offer degree programs in child life studies and carry accreditation from the Child Life Council, the credentialing organization for professionals in the field. The schools range from large, public universities to highly-selective private institutions.
