The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) offers a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Management. The program was accredited in 1984. Situated on the edge of the Mississippi River in a pine forest, UAM provides diverse field opportunities. Students may work with foresters to develop an integrated wildlife management plan and then work with the general public to educate the local community about resource management efforts. UAM's wildlife management program supplements field experiences with applied research projects in which students gather facts and data to support their understanding of field experiences.
