Oakland Community College is the largest community college in Michigan--and fourteenth in the country--with about 74,000 students from more than 80 countries. Because so many international students attend OCC, academic and international advisers help these students obtain education visas when they are accepted into the institution. OCC has more than 100 two-year programs. Ninety-three percent of the faculty have advanced degrees. The college keeps its classes small for a more personalized educational experience--about 24 students per professor.
