The architecture program at Cambridge University is a three-year course of study during which students engage in studio work, the study of architectural history and research of specific architectural styles through case studies. Also included is a first-year trip to Rome to visit that city's best-known buildings. Cambridge emphasized the academic aspects of architecture more than other programs, but also offers hands-on experience. It is considered one of the more difficult and time-intensive studies of any at Cambridge.
