Regent offers a 90-credit-hour M.Div. degree that allows students to pursue 60 of those credit hours online and the other 30 through short residency requirements, or modular courses. The M.Div. degree offered online has a concentration in practical theology. Within the practical theology emphasis, tracks are offered in biblical studies, church and ministry, worship and renewal, teaching English to non-native speakers, and interdisciplinary studies.
Regent also offers additional online degrees, including two M.A. degrees and two doctoral degrees (D.Min. and Ph.D.).

Bethany Theological Seminary in Richmond, Indiana, is associated with the Church of the Brethren. The seminary was founded in 1905 in Chicago and relocated to Richmond in 1994. The Bethany M.Div. programs allows for considerable personal flexibility for students to compete their studies in between three and six years.
Courses can be taken entirely online or, if they choose, students can take hybrid courses (part online and part on-campus) or even intensive weekend and shortened courses. Academic subjects covered by the program include biblical studies, ministry formation, theological and historical studies, ministry studies and interdisciplinary studies.
Students also choose three or four elective courses throughout the program to complement their studies.

A third online M.Div. option is a three-year program offered by United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. The program can be taken almost entirely online, except for a one-week residency requirement each semester. Areas of study covered include church history, ministerial formation, Old Testament, New Testament, evangelism, intercultural ministry, pastoral care giving, theology, systematic theology, and Christianity and culture.
