Masters in Sociology Programs

Sociology is the study of groups of people or society within fields such as family, behavior, economy, gender, race or social movements. Acquiring a Master of Arts degree in sociology provides opportunities to work in industries such as education, law, business or nonprofit organizations, medicine or public policy. In order to conduct independent research, individuals must earn a doctorate degree, which is why many M.A. programs are offered as part of a Ph.D. program.
