    • Princeton University is a private four-year university that was established in 1746 and is a member of the Ivy League conference. Princeton is the 4th university established in the United States. The student-to-teacher undergraduate ratio is 5:1, and there are 34 different departments available. As of the fall 2009, Princeton had 7,567 students enrolled at the university of which 5,047 are undergraduate students.

    Rutgers University

    • Rutgers University has three campuses in New Jersey--New Brunswick, Newark and Camden--with a combined student body of over 40,500 undergraduate students and 14,100 graduate students. The university offers over 100 undergraduate majors and 180 graduate programs and an award winning faculty to teach the courses. Rutgers faculty members include Guggenheim award recipients and Pulitzer Prize winners, and 99 percent of the faculty members have Ph.D. degrees. The classes at Rutgers University are small and personalized, and only 13 percent of the classes have over 50 students.

    Drew University

    • Drew University is a private liberal arts college in Madison, New Jersey, with a small student body of 1,500 students. The college offers Bachelor of the Arts degrees in 29 various fields such as anthropology, religious studies, classics and theater. The university is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools as well as boasts approved programs in the field of chemistry and pre-law. Drew University emphasizes the importance of a diverse and enriching campus experience for all students and student organizations, clubs, sports and other extracurricular activities, which students are encouraged to participate in.

    Seton Hall University

    • Seton Hall University is a four-year private college founded in 1856 by Bishop James Roosevelt Bayley. Since the foundation by a Catholic Bishop, the school retained a strong religious affiliation. Students choosing to study at Seton Hall have over 60 programs to choose from and have small classes of roughly 25 students per class to encourage an intimate learning environment. The university has over 100 student organizations as well as 27 fraternities and sororities for an active student life. The student body is made up of 5,300 students as of 2010 with over 90 percent receiving financial aid.
