Recreational Therapist Colleges

Recreational therapists provide treatment and activities for people with disabilities, injuries or illnesses. These activities improve motor skills, enhance mental well-being and increase cognitive abilities. The profession requires at least a two-year degree although many recreational therapists have a bachelor's or master's degree. The job market for recreational therapists is expected to grow by 15 percent through 2018, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, as more therapists are needed to help a rapidly aging population.
